About GifMuse

GifMuse is a small, independent set of free GIF tools. The editing tools run inside your web browser, so the GIFs you edit stay on your device.

How the tools work

• No upload. In the editing tools, your GIF is split into frames, edited and rebuilt on your own computer or phone. It is never sent to our servers.
• No sign-up and no watermark. Open a tool, use it, download the result.
• Free. The editing tools have no limits. The AI generator gives everyone a few free GIFs each day.

The tools

• AI GIF Generator: describe a scene and get an animated GIF, made with OpenAI's GPT Image 2.6. This one runs on a server, with a few free GIFs per person each day.
• Add Text to GIF: captions, text on chosen frames, and animated text effects.
• Reverse GIF: play a GIF backwards, or make a boomerang or rewind loop.
• GIF Background Remover: cut out the subject of every frame with AI that runs in your browser, or erase a solid color.
